Reverse Engineering: Restoration and Modernization of Imported Equipment Components
In the current Russian industrial landscape, enterprises frequently face challenges related to component wear or the lack of original spare parts from foreign manufacturers.
AGMA provides professional reverse engineering services, creating precise digital models and engineering documentation based on existing component samples.
We do not simply replicate the form; we restore the functionality and operational life of your equipment.
When is Reverse Engineering Required?
- Import Substitution. When original parts are unavailable for order or have prohibitively high costs and long lead times.
- Lost Documentation. When assemblies have been in operation for an extended period, and the manufacturer's drawings are lost or inaccessible.
- Discontinuation of Production. When equipment remains in service, but the manufacturer has ceased the production of spare parts.
- Modernization. When it is necessary not just to reproduce a part, but to improve its characteristics (e.g., upgrading to a more corrosion-resistant grade of stainless steel).
What We Design
Our engineers possess deep expertise in steel structures and wastewater treatment mechanisms. We accept projects for:
- Augers and screw conveyors (including complex flight geometries);
- Shafts, bushings, and drive units for screens and separators;
- Stainless steel housings and support structures;
- Filter elements and mesh structures;
- Non-standard seals and fasteners;
- Other metal components.
The Reverse Engineering Process
- Wear Analysis. We account for the actual wear of the provided sample. Our goal is to restore the component’s "nominal" dimensions to match the original manufacturer’s specifications.
- Precision Measurement. We utilize high-precision measuring tools and 3D scanning to capture complex geometries.
- Material Analysis. We identify the steel grade (AISI 304, 316, 321, etc.) and select an alloy optimally suited for aggressive wastewater environments.
- Engineering Documentation Development. We create a comprehensive set of drawings in accordance with GOST/ISO standards (3D models, assembly drawings, and part detailing).
- Prototype or Batch Production. With our in-house manufacturing facilities, we can immediately transform engineering drawings into finished metal products.
Why Choose AGMA?
- Engineering Approach. We have a deep understanding of equipment operational specifics, especially in high-humidity and chemically aggressive environments.
- Materials Science. We specialize in stainless steels and select alloys that often exceed the service life of the original components.
- Cost Efficiency. The total cost of reverse engineering and subsequent manufacturing is, on average, 1.5 to 2 times lower than purchasing original imported spare parts.
- Guaranteed Compatibility. We guarantee that every component will fit perfectly into its designated position and perform its functions as intended.
