KV series conveyors are designed for the horizontal and inclined transport of bulk and viscous materials at municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
KV series conveyors are designed for the horizontal and inclined transport of bulk and viscous materials at municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
Design and Operating Principle
The conveyor consists of a housing 1, supports 2, a screw 3, and a gear motor 4. Waste is loaded into the conveyor through covers equipped with a hopper 5. Waste discharge occurs through the discharge outlet 6. The top of the housing is closed with covers 7. The shaftless screw 3 is positioned on a liner 8 consisting of replaceable wear-resistant plastic inserts.
Waste enters the conveyor housing 1 through the covers with a hopper 5. The waste is transported inside the conveyor housing by means of a screw 3 driven by a gear motor 4. The screw 3 transports the waste to the discharge outlet 6, through which it is directed for further processing. The conveyor is available in two layout configurations with different gear motor placements and, accordingly, two different transport directions: "pushing" (away from the drive) and "pulling" (toward the drive).

Automation
The conveyor is equipped with a control system consisting of a control cabinet and a remote control station. The conveyor can operate in either manual or automatic mode. In automatic mode, operation is managed via a control signal generated by upstream/interfaced equipment (e.g., a bar screen).
The system features a soft start function utilizing a variable frequency drive (VFD) to reach the rated frequency. The control system also provides electronic motor overload protection during operation.
