Key Topics
The first session examined lean manufacturing through real-world cases at AGMA. Guests observed the implementation of tools that have already transformed our processes: Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), and the 5S system.
Practical cases garnered particular interest. Participants saw how these solutions reduce waste and enhance efficiency, while also gaining insights into production modes and the accounting systems AGMA uses to evaluate output.
The second session focused on ERP systems as the foundation for integrated production and warehouse management—discussed as a universal tool, beyond AGMA’s specific experience. Topics included automation of warehouse operations, address storage systems, barcoding, real-time synchronization between warehouse and production, work center load planning, and real-time task monitoring.
The discussion also covered specification-based procurement systems: calculating material requirements (MRP), synchronizing purchasing with the production schedule, and minimizing inventory without the risk of shortages.
Site Tour and Networking
The most illustrative part was the factory tour. Participants saw lean tools in action, including organized racking systems, "supermarkets," and optimized workstations. They had the opportunity to speak directly with the employees who use these systems daily.
Participant Feedback
Veronika, Lead Production Systems Development Engineer at JSC Elektropribor:
"I was impressed by how structured and organized everything is. It’s clear that the staff is genuinely engaged and motivated. This is a great credit to your Director - his personal involvement and drive for the system are evident."
Other attendees also highlighted that they gained valuable insights into both production techniques and process organization.
The seminar concluded with a Q&A session and a summary of key takeaways. Guests noted the practical value of seeing real changes and the opportunity to network with colleagues from other enterprises.
Over the following two days, the seminar continued with intensive lean manufacturing training in our company’s classroom.
AGMA remains committed to sharing its expertise and is open to professional dialogue. Stay tuned for future announcements and upcoming events.
